Lead Pastor Mick Sommers
Mick Sommers has been in ministry for nearly twenty-five years serving in three congregations as pastor, a term of service work in Egypt through Mennonite Central Committee and as a chaplain with hospice. His wife Julie works as a supervisor and technical consultant for Patient First as a Medical Technologist. We have two great adult children, Steffen and Simone and a wonderful son-in-law Michael. I am excited about the current ministries being accomplished by Ridgeview and look forward with anticipation as we continue to seek God’s will and guidance for the ongoing work of the kingdom in our congregation, community and world. My prayer is that the work being done at Ridgeview will be a blessing to all who engage with us as a part of this community. I look forward to having an opportunity to speak with you as together we worship and serve God.

I hope you will explore all this site offers and join us in person in one of the ministries that happen here at Ridgeview or in our connections with the communities around us. Here at Ridgeview you will find persons who attempt to follow Jesus and demonstrate his love. You will also find a variety of programs for all ages. Please contact us if you have questions about life here at Ridgeview. On a personal note, I am married to Pat and we have three married young adult children. I look forward to talking with you either by e-mail or in person. I wish you God’s presence today.

Minister of Youth & Young Adults Carol Wenger
After many years of involvement with youth in a variety of professional and lay ministry experiences, I am delighted and electrified to be called to this journey of adventure and discovery with the youth and young adults of the Ridgeview community. Whether discussing tough issues or laughing and playing games; whether facing difficult circumstances or working on a service project; together we will encounter the presence of God.
My husband, Cliff, and our three teenage/young adult daughters and I enjoy a variety of activities from soccer to backyard birding. Well, at least I enjoy bird watching!
“But I’m in the very presence of God—oh, how refreshing it is! I’ve made the Lord God my home.” Psalm 73:25,

Administrative Assistant Joyce Shirk
The Ridgeview church office has been my place of employment since 1975….a work setting where no two days are ever the same. I count it a blessing to be able to share in so many people's lives and in so many ways.
Barry and I have three adult children and three grandchildren.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Ridgeview Mennonite Church encourages worship, education, mission, and healthy community life through it's organizational structure and the way leadership groups relate within the congregation's structure. To learn more about what the Mennonites/Anabaptist click here.
The Ministry Team, consisting of pastors and lay ministers of each commission, provides leadership to congregational life.
- Gives spiritual oversight and direction to the congregation
- Discerns the spiritual needs of the congregation
- Helps develop and keep focus on
congregational vision
The congregation is organized around five commissions, Worship, Education, Community Life, Mission, and Administration, which are each lead by a lay minister. All congregation members are invited to serve on a commission: some serve due to specific roles they hold, others due to interest in the specific ministry.
The Team Congregation Relations Committee nurtures the relationship between the congregation and Ministry Team. The committee serves as a conduit for communication between the Ministry Team and the congregation for regular reviews and in the event of concerns.
The Gifts Discernment Committee assists congregational members to find the special abilities God has given them and how to use them to strengthen the congregation.
Congregational leadership roles are filled through a congregational discernment process.
In our worship,education,mission, community
life and administration, we want to learn and share together God's
love with all creation.
